Coffee Crocodile

2022

This work is inspired by the decline of crocodiles caused by human hunting and global warming. Crocodiles are killed for their skins, and climate change affects their reproduction by changing the temperature that determines their sex.
To respond to this problem, I created a sustainable biomaterial made from fruit peels and coffee grounds. Using a crocodile skin mold, the material mimics the texture of real crocodile leather. The project aims to offer an eco-friendly alternative and reduce the demand for real crocodile skin while raising awareness of wildlife protection.
